Kentuckians Can Apply for FEMA Relief during the Fair
The Kentucky State Fair’s efforts to support Eastern Kentucky flood relief continues into the second week of the annual summertime celebration. In addition to the 4-H Foundation, Danny Wimmer Presents and t-shirt fundraisers, FEMA will set up a booth for the remaining days of the Fair.
FEMA staff will answer questions and help survivors apply for disaster assistance. Mitigation specialists will offer home improvement tips and proven methods to prevent and lessen damage from future disasters. The booth will be located in the South Wing B Lobby. The booth will be staffed 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 23-Aug. 25, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 26-Aug. 27, and 10 am to 6 p.m. Aug. 28.
“Supporting the residents of Eastern Kentucky is important to all of us at the Kentucky State Fair. We’re grateful FEMA will be onsite to help our fellow Kentuckians as they work to recover from this disaster. So many people from volunteers, FEMA and our fairgoers have risen to the occasion to help with Eastern Kentucky flood relief,” said David S. Beck, President & CEO of Kentucky Venues.
